well.. haven been blogging.

anyways, mid year is over.

Thursday went to sentosa,
got a bit of sunburn.

Friday , got back some of our mid year paper.
Physics: FAILED
Chinese: PASS

Physics, i could have gotten 7 more mark, due to some careless mistakes
Grr!

Chinese got grade 3, but still not happy with it.
still can do better!

English lesson, Mr Sim told us about our English Oral.
I was the last one to get the mark.
When Mr Sim said my mark out, my heart totally sank.
I got the lowest in class..
which was very disappointing, i thought i could get at least a 27 like that. .
cause the teacher was kept smiling and smiling throughout the whole time..
and Mr Sim was angry about people doing argumentative compo.
which I did! And my vocab and word bank is limited. so.. )):

I really hope that my math, chemistry, social studies, history and English
Will PASS!!!
Especially my math!

We also watch 'freedom writer' in English class.

Mosquitoes are bugging me everynight,
and i could hardly sleep in peace.

well.. Ants is bugging my whole family.
There are lots of ants in the kitchen, I am not allow to use the dustbin in the kitchen, as after a while it will attract lots of ants to come.
And i am a selfish person, i dont want to share my food with the ants!
sometime there are ants in the food, which makes me lost my appetite.

Well.. finish watching a Jap drama named " liar game'
not sure if you have watched this before.

Mmmh i must say that God 'played' with my feeling today. ):

Firstly, i went out out my house to metamorphosis, i was below my block alr, it started to rain heavily. So i went up to get umbrella, but i can't find the umbrella! i called my mum, just when my mum answer the called i found the umbrella..
So while walking to bus stop i saw my bus, but i was opposite the road!
But thank god, the bus uncle waited for me!

Today was my first time backstage alone.. Gosh la! i screwed the first few minutes T.T

Mmmh.. today went to watch the last year sec 4&5 taking "o" lvl results .. haha their result is good.. attain best result since 1992.. so this year sec 4 & 5 have to jia you a lot a lot more harder! and beat your seniors.! AHA!
And i'm happy that i have no training today, tomorrow and next monday! BUT got work tomorrow..argh!!

Dancing With God
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing 'dance' at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw 'G: I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'i'.
'God, 'u' and 'i' dance.'
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God as God
abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.

yesterday as i was thinking of testimony for today cg *which i didn't go.*
something just came into my mind
If i had never known Christ what will my life be now?
is it still going to be the old me ? who have no meaning in life.. and just take one step see one step.
something temp me to backslide.. saying " why waste time serving god, if don't serve = more time on ourself. can go do what ever i want..examples learning piano, guitar etc.. go out play dota.. go out with friends. more time to study for exams. and a lot things la.. -.-!
Thinking back.. i believe that there's a god. if not there will be star and moon and planet earth. and all the little cute earthlings. ^^ and i believe that he die on the cross for us to wash away all our sins. alright.. just came back from work and have showered..

okay. today went to talk to the librarian teacher I/C have a 20 min with her. she willing to do me a favour to help me ask Mr. ow for choosing library as my core CCA which actually cannot do that. soo.. i told her my problems. i thank god that she is kind, able to understand my situation right now. so monday i have to see her again. all i can do is to pray hard. for Mr ow to approve it.

Another thing is yeterday went to evax at Chinese high school. got 4 contact. 3 haven added me yet. the 1 is dao-ing me -.- *pray pray* that he will stop that. hee hee. (: I hope i can manage to talk to him, treating like my friend.

Yipee Didnt waste my day today. i rewritten the formula that i need to know.

THE DONKEY's ATTITUDE
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be
covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed
a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey
realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's
amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He
was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and
take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon,
Everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well
and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on us, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells

wa lau... ytd i didnt eat dinner la... the first thing i went home is.. call 6777-3777... then.. i went to shower... i unpack all my stuff first..then let my mum go settle my Stinking STUFF!! =D then went to shower... my mac delivery just nice come.. eat finish liao.. go on my comput3er.. play some song ... go.. sleep.. sleep till now... i haven eat my CURRY FISH HEAD!! ytd night which my father ytd specially cook for me..T.T nvm still got left over de ^^
Ps: ytd thoese who msn me de i didnt reply wor.. caz my mum just switch off my p[ower ..of my computer ..

Ok now.. i going to summarized the OBS part.. caz now i wanna go back sleep le...^^

Day 1..
we arrived at the ubin.. at first i dun like my group number ..only the only firend was bah yang..
when we was distribute the "happy meal Bag" which is all biskit.. some sachet of milo etc... and they told us this is the breakfast and lunch for.. the 5 day.. i was like wtf... =.=
that night we learnt how to pitch a tent.... i cant remember how to pitch the tent... and we was pitching the stupid tent in the dark.. and some went to cook dinner in the dark also..
11pm was the lights off time when we were about to sleep the tent was so freaking hot la.. lucky our group is the small about all group.. so our tent only 3 ppl ^^

Day 2
It was another tired day ...we did kayaking , it was so tireing as we kayak ... against the current..we kayak from camp 2 to camp 1... we had capsized drill also.. we DIDN'T BATH!!! As the water is not drinkable there ... at night i was pitching the tent... it was getting harder as our tent was all wet and.. the ground sucks... we used rocks.. to hold the peg and string 2gether..

Day3
we went for a mini sea expedition kayaking it was quite a short distance.. as we are going along the current ^^ at evening . it was getting easier to pitch a tent as i didn't follow the method of knot... which the instructor teach.. i own self tie my own knot..and we had a good solid ground to tie our tent..

Day 4
woohoo.. getting closer to day 5 ... we did the most tiring activity almost all other days.. it was the land expedition.. we walk for more then 10km.. with.. a freaking heavy bag pack and on our hand we hold a lot of water and camping tent which weight.. more then 5k kg.. and we have a lot of ponchos which is very heavy.. we walk and walk walk ... alot ppl wanted to give up lar..
in the end we still reached.. at the evening.. we pitch our tent some went to wash life vast ... some pitch tent some went to cook.. the tent is super easy.. to pitch at the gound was good and day 4 is the best tent we ever pitch.. ^^ everyone say today.. is the best as alot ppl have teamwork.. so we did everthing very fast....

DAY 5~
Yeah waiting for this day.. but..quite sad to leave.. in day 1 wanted to faster to leave but.. day 5 ... .... .... .... yawn...ZZZ

Yesterday was fun=DD BUT also the unluckiest day of my life T.T
yesterday went to..
Sentosa
i woke up at 8oclock went shower.. then left the house at 8.50Am to the Ghim Moh bus's interchange to meet Audrey law and bin hong there, we took Bus 100 to vivo... went there to meet keith and vale... we ate our breakfast there. then after that we went to the last lvl of vivo(the outside thing) all went into the very shallow water, only me and Johnathan khoo never go down.. he say the water never change .. after that .. gwen and Audrey lee came.. we toook the monorail...too...SENTOSA

We headed to the siloso beach all got went down the water only for Audrey lee =X then keith later burying people..=X me, johnathan and bin hong went to coffee bean to buy our drinks.. we saw jun ming and the rest.. we drink our drinks outside.. we saw... ian tan, zheng yuan , tiff, Michelle, grace and more.. a lot fairsian =X

We went back.. then keith say want to try the skyride.. quite worth the $9 =X the sky ride very high lar.. i scared lar.. then the Kieth keep shaking the whole thing.. zzz.. then we LUGE.. very fun.. like ride horse like dat... after that wanted to go vivo to eat... went i was trying to get my card from my wallet.. i found out that wth is my wallet? so we went back to the luge and ask the people there.. they ask me.. to write my description of my wallet.. i put Black leather.. and polo.. =D then.. we went sit at the.. stone place.. the people come to me with a ticket.. and said.. "you have to go up and take your wallet, but i can guarantee your wallet is there.. " i said.. huh? must use the skyride thing isit? got anyway to walk up or something ..? then she say ya.. i stun .. zzz.. then i ask bin hong to help me go up.. and take.. he good lar.. he got a FOC ticket.. and can luge down again.. X.X must he get free ride lar..
so you know what you should do to when you want a free ride ^^

Then we all go vivo.. meet bah yang and the rest.. but they went Sentosa first.. we went to eat.. then... me,bin hong, Johnathan went back to Sentosa... go there.. play volleyball .... zzz i suck at it la! i hit the ball until my hand pain like siao... then keith they all come also.. keith, vale and gwen went to ride bicycle, audrey Law/lee sit at the beach... listening to music and chatting.. keith and the rest came back.. gwen and vale sitting on the beach...like very sian and gwen dun be angry or pissed le lah =X .. .. Then i don't know wad time we all went back..

The guy say want to go.. play.. so we all went home to shower first.. then went to beauty world... to play pool.. and lan.. we play until midnight till the shop close =X , TIME really pass very fast hiaz... all went to bah yang house to slack again... only for Alex.. ,play risk for 20 min.zzz and went to play ps2 and computer.. i went home the earliest i went at 4 o clock.. went home lie on bed.. after duno how many sec fall asleep le =X guess is too tired le ba.. After that we went.. to.. mac to eat , then we mrt-ing to PC bunk, i didnt play lor.. caz i feel liike it kinda waste of money.. at around 6.30pm Bah Yang's Gang came ^^ we waited till 7.25pm then we went back to marine to play bowling xD we play 2 games. 1st game I was 2nd Eric was first.. first round everyone bowl to the drain.. only eric manage to be the outstanding one and get a strike...

around 11 pm some went to bah yang house to slack.. i went home at 2.00am.. the rest i dunno...zzz

Ytd cross country suck like sht .... rain lo... i came in 73...in B boys div.. lol caz i was walking alot ... all thanks to the muddy sht along the way.. the mud was very thick... and i almost slip and fall.. but lucky i did not fall =) So i walk =) until the road side there then i ran... =.=.. and Mrs LIM cancel the "Fun run"!!!! wa lau.. raining to heavily liao la.. i almost.. vomit caz the last 300 metre i chiong using all my might lo.. it like beyond my limit.. that y i am felling dizzy.. i rest for about 30min then ok le.. then that time i suddenly got stomachache! wa lau.. so suay sia.. then ltr went to plaza sing on the way alex called say change venue to queenstown stadium there play lan.. then take bus "111" to plaza sing and watch movie it called the "Gridiron Gang" quite funny.. =)

Space's threat to civilization

LONDON, England (CNN) -- What should we do if an asteroid is on a collision course with Earth? This question is being taken increasingly seriously by scientists as more is learnt about the impact a near earth object (NEO) would have on the future of civilization.

It might sound like the plot of a Hollywood movie, but one gigantic asteroid is scheduled to come within 20,000 miles of Earth in the near future -- a near miss in cosmic measurements -- and the possibility remains that it could hit our planet and cause catastrophic devastation never seen before.

"Human expansion into our solar system is fundamentally about the survival of the species. Our species hasn't been around long enough to experience a cataclysmic extinction event. But they will occur again whether we are ready for them or not," NASA Administrator Michael Griffin told an audience at Langley Research Center.

The asteroid that has made the space community sit up and take notice is nicknamed Apophis, after the Egyptian god of destruction.

Over 300 meters in diameter and weighing 25 million tons, it is set to come within 20,000 miles of Earth in 2029. And that date for the near miss? April 13, 2029, which should get the doomsday soothsayers excited.

We need not start preparing to evacuate Earth just yet. Scientists have been tracking the asteroid and with each new cache of data the chances of impact decrease. Current estimates put the chances of impact at one in 45,000.

The threat is real, however. If Apophis passes the earth at a distance of exactly 18,893 miles it will open a "gravitational keyhole" causing it to enter a new orbit that would put it on a direct collision course with earth seven years later. Current predictions are that Apophis will pass between 18,880 and 20,880 miles from earth.

Hitting the earth at 28,000 mph an asteroid the size and mass of Apophis would pack the energy of 58,000 Hiroshima nuclear bombs.

The "Tunguska Event" that flattened over 800 square miles of Siberian forest in 1908 was caused by a stony asteroid only 50 meters in diameter exploding in the lower atmosphere.

Leading the campaign for a global response to NEOs and a closer exploration of their physical make up is former astronaut Russell Schweickart, who piloted the lunar module of Apollo 9 in 1969.

He has been championing the cause to send a spacecraft onto an asteroid to study the potential mineral reserves there and also how one might be deflected if it was on a collision cause with Earth.

"The problem is nobody is responsible to protect the Earth. You might think that NASA does it, but that's not really their job. More needs to be done in terms of developing propulsion systems for spacecraft to intercept these NEOs because these are natural disasters that we can prevent," Schweickart told CNN.

"We have a good idea of what might come from Apophis and there inevitably will be other asteroids which will need different solutions and potential threats that will need new technology. Apophis was targeted because what better than to have practice at putting a transponder on an asteroid," he told CNN.

Placing a transponder on an asteroid would enable scientists to closely track the asteroid wherever it may be in its orbit via telescopes and radar from earth.

In 2005 Schweickart successfully campaigned for NASA to take the issue of NEOs seriously, the result has been a number of NASA centers developing prospective plans to land a spacecraft and even astronauts on an asteroid.

However the practicalities of landing a spacecraft to monitor, explore or deflect an asteroid still face a number of challenges. NASA is set to present the U.S. Congress with a report on how best to track and deal with the potential hazard of asteroids colliding with Earth at the end of the year and a Planetary Defense Conference will convene in March 2007, sponsored by a multi-national group including NASA, the European Space Agency and the Indian Space Research Organization.

Schweickart believes that the means to deflect an asteroid are already at our disposal and is pleased that NASA has agreed with him that action would need to be taken years before a potential impact in order to neutralize the threat.

The ways to deal with the threat include simply flying a spacecraft into an errant asteroid or either attaching one to it or parking one alongside it, like a gravity tractor, to pull it into another orbit.

The asteroid tugboat idea was developed by Schweickart and his team at Foundation B612. As a concept it's relatively straightforward. It involves the docking a small robotic spacecraft onto the surface of an asteroid and then using the same propulsion unit that got it there to push the asteroid off its course.

The alternative method of a gravity tractor spares the spacecraft the need to land. The spacecraft would be sent towards the asteroid and positioned either in front of it to speed it up or behind the NEO to slow it down. The technology is very similar to DeepSpace-1, the mission that was successfully sent to test emerging space technologies in 1999.

"There is no need for new technology in deflection spacecraft. You can just run into it as long as you get the direction correct and hit it fairly centrally. Most of the challenges are really only engineering based and certainly achievable," Schweickart told CNN.

The exploration of NEOs would be useful for NASA in the development of its Orion spacecraft that is being developed for its lunar missions.

Plans to land astronauts on an asteroid have been mooted and the technology involved in landing astronauts on the moon once again would not require too much adaptation to landing on an NEO. Valuable data could be collected with an NEO trial run, particularly testing Orion's high-speed heat shields.

Schweickart for one is an advocate of the idea and sees an NEO program as a win/win scenario:

"Public safety has to be a higher priority than exploration. It may be good to go back to the moon, but if you're going there for resources there are potentially far richer reserves on NEOs and they're easier to get to. We should be looking to use our resources to protect life on earth, plus it would cost a fraction of the proposed lunar mission.

"Even with all the plotting of asteroid orbits and tracking of them, action always will have to be taken before we know for sure whether or not an asteroid will hit earth. That is the nature of protecting the earth from impact. It happens very seldom, but when it does it is absolutely devastating."

YAY i Am so happy.. My mum maybe buying me a new phone =) caz my father singtel contract over and he doesnt want to change to starhub for the 3hub club thingy.. lol.. my father will get a nokia 6070... lol... better then his currently one la.. which have no colour.. no mp3.. no camera.. the phone 4 years already...

Today At 3.00A.M MORNING!!!! I heard someone screaming, i was woken up by the noise and i was like half asleep... So i didnt really bother much, then i heard the sound of my father runing to the kitchen ten suddenly heard 1 stranger sound ... so i was curious i hold my pillow and sleeply walking out of my room and i went to take a look outside and in the kitchen i saw 1 stranger Naked BUT! got wear pant lar.. then i dunno why like i ended up i bed.. maybe i was sleepwalking?? But that Stranger thingy was true... i heard in hokien.. that wad thingy... from ** (** means a Number.. I dont want to get into police case so read on why)floor To my floor and went in by the kitchen O.o!!! then hearing half way i fell alsleep LOL... Then i heard they let the stranger go le.. my mum came in and told me... wad happen... but i forgot ... maybe i was TOO SLEEPY , IT 3 AM in the morning leh..!!! Then after school i went home and ask my mum about wad happen then i know.... she say .. she running away from police O.o!!! dont know wad he dont want take urine Test FOR Suspect OF DRUG ,WTF!!?!? DRUG... OMG...SUSPECT ONLY LAR... and she also say he want to hide at our house OMG? will we be jail too?? But i think my father didnt agree Then ... I dont want to heard liao..
